Imagining the Art of Tomorrow

This project was carried out in a team of four, with a clear objective: imagine a future edition of Le Journal du Louvre, set in the year 2050. The theme — art in the future — gave us room to develop a speculative editorial direction, blending fiction and graphic experimentation.

We crafted a full magazine layout on InDesign, combining minimalist brutalist design with AI-generated content. Texts were written using ChatGPT, and visuals created in MidJourney, resulting in a hybrid publication that questions the role of technology in both artistic production and cultural institutions.

The magazine features a full editorial structure: front and back covers, a visual table of contents, interviews, essays, columns, and immersive spreads. The visual system draws from brutalist codes — strong grids, heavy type, raw whitespace — while leaving room for moments of calm and visual rhythm.

Typography was chosen for its character and tension, bridging the past and the future. Layouts were constructed with clarity and structure in mind, echoing both museum publications and avant-garde editorial design. The AI-generated content plays with the boundaries between reality and fiction, raising questions about authorship, aesthetics, and the future of creative tools. Full Flip-book available here.
